Sample Class: Children's Yoga

Yoga welcome song

Breathing exercises: belly breathing, bubble gum pose

Mountain pose (Grow roots through your feet. Where is your weight - toes, heels?)

Yoga animals, for example snake, lion, tiger, monkey, elephant, spider, turtle, crab, seal, fish, bird, stork, cat,
dog, cow, donkey, owl, grass hopper, crocodile

Relaxation with pillows and blankets.

Yoga games: rainbow dragon or sunflower

Sample Exercises: Joint-freeing exercises

Ankles: flex and extend feet, roll ankles (6 times each direction)

Hips: Seated position with back straight and legs stretched out. Lifting right leg, point toes outward and open leg to side, then point toes inward and bring the leg back to center. Repeat with left leg (6 times on each side)

Shoulders: Roll shoulders back or forward in circles, shrug shoulders up and down (6 times each)
